Job summary

Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Journalism. The Department reviews candidates for substitute and full-term class assignments as needed during the Academic Year.

As part of this pool, instructors must meet credential requirements and provide a list of courses they can teach. PCC offers a benefits package and a path for equity and inclusion across its campuses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Speech Communication, Mass Communication, or Communications
• Master’s degree in a related area (e.g. History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology) with thirty (30) graduate quarter hours in the subject area
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, or Journalism and two (2) or more years of professional experience in mass media

• List the PCC courses you would be able to teach.
• Be considered for substitute assignments as well as full-term class assignments.
