CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, seeks a Joint SOF Trainer for USSOCOM exercise planning and execution at Camp Lejeune, NC. The role supports MARSOC G-7 and develops SOF vignettes, COPs, and synthetic CONOPs to drive realistic scenarios.

Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance, a relevant degree, and 3–4+ years of SOF HQ or trainer experience, with strong classroom delivery, English proficiency, and MS Office skills. Travel may be 11–20% CONUS/OCONUS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years experience in SOF
• Current, active TS/SCI security clearance
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the Joint Training System (joint exercise planning management)
• Minimum of 4 years’ recent experience serving in a SOF tactical or operational level headquarters (SOJTF or JSOTF)
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience developing SOF tactical-operational level products to support GCC, TSOC/JSOC, and SOF Component SOF and CT exercises.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience directly interfacing with senior staff (O5/O6 and GOFO) at the TSOCs, Components, GCCs, Services, Interagency.
• Excellent presentation, communication and organization skills; proven skills in formal classroom delivery.
• Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Description

CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is currently seeking a Joint SOF Trainer for a high visibility program providing training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The Joint SOF Trainers plan, direct, and coordinate the activities required to execute the various portions of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC). The Joint Event Life Cycle is all of the events and actions required to plan, execute, and evaluate major training events that prepare US Special Operations Forces (SOF) for operations in support of the nation’s strategic initiatives. Supported entities include, but are not limited to: USSOCOM Battle staff, Geographical Combatant Commands, Exercises, Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) and Partner Nations.

The Joint SOF Trainer (Operations and Planning) III will support MARSOC G-7’s determined exercises based upon the MARSOC Commander's Exercise Campaign Plan.

Responsibilities may included but are not limited to:

• Plan for, support, and participate in requisite Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events.
• Be prepared to support OCONUS exercises to include planning and execution events.
• Coordinate with SOF/CF exercise planners.
• Coordinate exercise scenarios with SOF/CF exercise force.
• Conduct research using SIPR/TS networks on real-world current operations IOT develop relevant exercise scenarios. Incorporate MARSOC Commander’s Campaign Framework in exercise design.
• Develop SOF vignettes that meet Exercise Force Training Objectives and help drive overall scenario.
• Develop and foster strong integration with the Service (FMF/HQMC) and other Combatant Command and Service Partners to create unified action across the Joint battle space.
• Develop SOF Common Operating Picture (COP), encompassing both live and synthetic SOF, based upon real-world laydowns in furtherance of exercise scenarios; ensure SOF COP is incorporated into the overall exercise COP.
• Develop synthetic SOF CONOPs and Storyboards to drive scenarios.
• Manage exercise injects, storylines and vignettes.
• Provide on-call scripting and dynamic adjustments.
• Capture exercise participation data to develop after action reports and lessons learned.
• Serve as a member of a notional higher or adjacent headquarters during exercise execution. Develop and brief products to be presented at the SOTF (O-5) or JSOTF (O-6) levels to exercise participants. Be prepared to brief as a staff member of a SOTF/JSOTF.
• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
• Ability to work in confined areas.
• Ability to work in remote and rural environments.
