Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking an experienced Joint SOF Operations Readiness Subject Matter Expert to support MacDill AFB, FL. The role involves planning, executing, and assessing joint/ multinational training to enhance staff readiness across warfighting functions and multi-domain operations.

You will mentor CCMD/TSOC staff to ensure SOF relevance in diverse scenarios. The position requires 12+ years of SOF experience, TS/SCI clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree, with on-site duties

Qualifications

• Senior leader integration briefing/advising at high levels (O-5 through GO/FO).
• Joint readiness concepts using UJTL/JMETL and doctrine.
• Operational design and crisis response knowledge in a Joint SOF HQ environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise and mentor CCMD/TSOC staff to represent SOF context in realistic scenarios across mission sets and domains.
• Lead governance and advisory support for readiness and training events across multiple forces.
• Develop AARs, readiness assessments, and training improvement plans.

Responsibilities

Akima Systems Engineering, an AKIMA Company is looking for a Joint SOF Operations Readiness Subject Matter Expert to join our team at MacDill AFB, FL. This position supports Joint Force battle staff by planning, executing, and assessing joint and multinational training and readiness events that enhance staff and improve mission readiness. Responsibilities include advising and mentoring CCMD/TSOC staff to accurately represent SOF context in realistic scenarios across mission sets, warfighting functions, and multi-domain operations. This involves using LVC tools and systems to connect physical assets with synthetic threats across various domains. This role requires leveraging experience in LVC event planning and execution to enhance force readiness for CCMDs and TSOCs.

Responsibilities

Support shall span the full lifecycle of USSOCOM collective training and readiness events to include but not limited to:

Governance and advisory support for:

• Provide command-level readiness insight, decision support, and integration guidance.
• Recommend improvements to planning systems, battle rhythm flows, information routing, and risk logic.
• Track unit, staff, and enterprise-level readiness trends over time.
• Deliver non-directive advisory support that strengthens decision-making, enhances integration awareness, and informs commander understanding.
• Support activities may include but are not limited to:
  • Providing domain-specific guidance to staff and command groups.
  • Assisting with planning logic, synchronization across warfighting functions, decision framing, and prioritization.
  • Advising during distributed or in-person readiness events, providing real-time and post-event recommendations that advance SOF-CF integration and mission command proficiency.

Qualifications

Senior Leader Integration

• Directly briefing / advising O-5 through GO/FO.
• Synchronizing training across TSOCs, SOF Components, CCMD staff, Services, and Interagency partners.

Joint Readiness & Assessment Functions

• Application of UJTL / JMETL / Joint doctrine.
• Development of AARs, Readiness assessments, Training improvement plans.
• Hands-on use of JTS, JTT, and DRRS.

Operational Design & Crisis Response

• Working knowledge of Operational Design.
• Understanding of SOF crisis response operations.
• Experience in primary role at USSOCOM, TSOC, Service HQ, Joint Staff, OSW, 3-4 Star HQ.
• 12+ years of SOF experience.
• E-8+ / CW3+ / O-4+.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years planning & executing joint exercises using JTS.
• Operational application of warfighting functions and SOF core activities in a Joint SOF HQ environment.
• Full-spectrum training event management in accordance with CJCSM 3500.03-series.
• 4+ years Joint operations or operational-strategic SOF planning.
• Ensured SOF mission sets are fully represented in exercise objectives, events, and assessment.
