Akima Systems Engineering seeks an experienced Joint SOF Operations Readiness SME to join our MacDill AFB team in Florida. The role focuses on planning, executing, and assessing joint and multinational training to enhance staff readiness and mission success, using LVC tools to connect physical assets with synthetic threats across domains.

Qualifications

12+ years of SOF experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years planning & executing joint exercises using JTS.
Direct briefing / advising at flag level (O-5 to GO/FO).
Synchronizing training across TSOCs and CCMD staff.

Responsibilities

Provide command-level readiness insight, decision support, and integration guidance.
Track unit, staff, and enterprise-level readiness trends over time.
Advising during distributed or in-person readiness events, providing real-time and post-event recommendations that advance SOF-CF integration and mission command proficiency.
Hands-on use of JTS, JTT, and DRRS to assess readiness and improve training outcomes.
Support activities may include planning logic, synchronization across warfighting functions, and prioritization.
