Joint Force Engagement SME The Opportunity

As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. As a Defense Mission Expert on our U.S. Space Force (USSF) team, you’ll bring your expertise to work alongside thought leaders in science, software development and deployment, and Joint military operations on projects for multiple domains, multiple services, and multiple Combatant Commands. You’ll use your skills and expertise to directly engage warfighters on their needs and ensure incorporation into updated software development pipelines. On our team, you will engage with U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force warfighters. You will provide foundational knowledge on the operational environment and adversary capabilities, conduct Joint Force problem analysis, and advise on USSF service-provided solutions. You Have:
  • 15+ years of experience with the military at the operational or tactical-level
  • Experience at a service component headquarters
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to brief a variety of defense audiences, including senior military, civilian, and contractors
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Graduate of a Service Command and Staff School such as USN College of Naval Command and Staff, USAF Air Command and Staff College, or United States Army or Marine Corps School
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience in Joint or Service-level planning
  • Experience in surface warfare or military aviation
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Confluence and Jira
  • Experience at a Joint or Coalition headquarters and operations center
  • Experience in the acquisition and development lifecycle
  • Master’s degree
  • Graduate of a Service-level Advanced Tactics or Instructor School such as USAF Weapons School, USN Top Gun, or MAWTS Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
