Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Joint Fires Network Engineer to join a Federal Program at Scott Air Force Base. You will execute network operations, configure circuits, and analyze networks across multiple platforms to ensure mission readiness.

Responsibilities include real-time circuit redesign, incident documentation, and coordination with government agencies. A TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required, along with DoD IAT Level 2 and 24x7 shift availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years of experience.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) required prior to start.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Deep understanding of Transport and IP network topologies.
• Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations across optical and electro-optical multiplexers, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity during outages and maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers and agencies to maximize network availability.
• Monitor network alarms using platform management tools.
• Handle change management tasks including hardware replacements and configurations.
• Document outages, degradations, escalations, and resolutions in incident systems.
• Assess and resolve network incidents leveraging Cisco, Juniper, MSPP, and MPLS knowledge.
