Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Joint Fires Network Engineer to support DoD network operations from Scott AFB, IL. This on-site role in a 24x7 NOC delivers real-time monitoring, restoration, and incident management to ensure high availability of critical communications.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI clearance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE) and 4+ years of IP networking experience, including MPLS and optical transport, routers and switches.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in network operations, transport networks, or IP networking.
• Experience with routers, switches, MPLS, optical transport, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate in a 24x7 shift environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Networking or related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of circuits across routers, switches, and optical transport systems
• Perform real-time circuit rerouting and network restoration during outages or maintenance events
• Monitor network alarms and proactively troubleshoot issues using enterprise network management tools
• Document and manage incidents, outages, and resolutions throughout the full lifecycle of network events
• Collaborate with internal teams, government stakeholders, and engineering partners to maintain high network availability

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Joint Fires Network Engineer to support a company focused on delivering secure, mission-critical network operations for U.S. Department of Defense environments. This position is on-site at Scott AFB, IL. The Joint Fires Network Engineer will provide real-time network operations, monitoring, and restoration support within a 24x7 operations center environment. This role directly contributes to ensuring resilient communications systems that support national security missions worldwide.

Responsibilities for the Joint Fires Network Engineer include:

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of circuits across routers, switches, and optical transport systems

• Ability to operate in a 24x7 shift environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)

Compensation for the Joint Fires Network Engineer include:

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000
