Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an Exercise Assistant to synchronize planning and participation across units, maintain the JELC calendar, and coordinate planning events from concept to assessment. You will help source units for CONUS/OCONUS exercises, develop objectives and scenarios, and brief senior leaders.

The role requires proven experience in joint/complex exercises, ability to travel up to 20%, and active Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree and CGSC ILE or equivalent education are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience planning and executing joint, component, or service exercise programs.
• Experience managing or employing the Five Stages of the JELC, MDMP, ADM, or JPP.
• Experience planning joint, multinational, or complex operational-level exercises.
• Experience developing exercise objectives, scenarios, assessments, and senior-level briefings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications and collaborative planning tools.
• Ability to lead an exercise from concept development through execution and postexercise analysis.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Graduate of a CGSC Intermediate Level Education (ILE) or Component Education.

Responsibilities

• Synchronize planning and participation across division assigned units and maintain continuity in exercise design and execution.
• Maintain the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) calendar and coordinate planning events across staff.
• Identify equities in the JELC lifecycle and recommend participants and modernization efforts.
• Assist with sourcing units for exercises supporting lines-of-effort located both CONUS and OCONUS.
• Help formulate long- and short-term goals, policies, objectives, and priorities for exercise participation considering budgetary and tempo factors.
• Attend key synchronization events with higher headquarters and downturn units.
• Develop objectives, build scenarios, integrate stakeholders, and oversee exercises from concept through execution and assessment.
• Inform command decisions and maintain inputs/outputs to higher HQ battle rhythm events.
• Advance readiness and transform how the force trains for tomorrow's environments.
