As a Joiner, you’ll fabricate, assemble, install, and repair shipboard bulkheads, interior finishes, deck structures, furniture, and a wide range of outfitting items. Your craftsmanship shapes the living and working spaces sailors depend on every day — ensuring durability, functionality, and comfort throughout the ship.

Joiners build the functional spaces where sailors live, work, and operate — from crew quarters and command centers to passageways and support areas. Your craftsmanship shapes the experience of everyone aboard, contributing directly to safety, comfort, and mission success.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Joiner or related craft experience in shipfitting, carpentry or sheetmetal and be able to pass the Tacker Certification test.
High School diploma or equivalent, Master Tech Certification
