Job summary

Southern Nevada Family Medicine and Southern Nevada Occupational Health Center is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our patient care team. You will prepare charts, assist nurses, and manage routine care, while handling supplies and lab result tracking in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate has a Certified Medical Assistant credential (or BLS) and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or BLS certification preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare charts, assist nurses and physicians during patient visits.
• Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and supplies.
• Answer phones, address patient inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Track lab results and report findings promptly.
• Call in prescriptions and manage office tasks.
• Monitor and restock medical supplies to ensure timely availability.

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant to become an integral part of our patient care team. You’ll prepare patient visits by organizing charts, pulling medical notes, and supporting our nurses and medical staff with routine care. This role also includes managing medical supplies, tracking lab results, and ensuring all testing is completed and reported promptly. The ideal candidate brings a customer-focused attitude, eagerness to learn, and experience in a fast-paced medical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare charts, pull notes, and set up medical equipment before patient visits.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones address patient inquiries, and schedule appointments
• Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and patient care
• Track and report lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle office tasks
• Manage medical supply inventory and ensure timely stock replenishment
