Job summary

Pacific Golf & Turf in Spokane, WA is seeking a Technician specializing in John Deere Turf Equipment. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and setting up John Deere turf gear and allied equipment, with travel to courses and facilities to assist customers.

You will work closely with the Service Manager, uphold safety policies, and maintain documentation. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' experience with John Deere equipment, basic tools, and the physical stamina to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience on John Deere turf equipment.
• Must possess a basic set of tools and be physically capable.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair John Deere turf equipment.
• Set up John Deere turf equipment and allied turf gear.
• Travel to golf courses or businesses to assist customers.
• Work with limited supervision for extended periods.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Keep shop and facilities clean and organized.
• Coordinate with Service Manager to maintain workflow.
• Adhere to safety policies and document paperwork.
• Possess effective communication with coworkers and managers.

Job Description

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing John Deere turf equipment. Setting up new John Deere turf equipment. Diagnosing, repairing and setting up a variety of Allied turf equipment
• Travel to golf courses, complexes and/or businesses in order to assist customers and address concerns, as needed
• Ability to work without immediate supervision for extended periods of time
• Maintain all equipment and ensure tools are in good working condition
• Maintain general housekeeping duties in shop and property maintenance
• Work with the Service Manager to ensure consistent work flow
• Must be a team player, that represents the company in a professional manner at all times
• Help maintain and support safety policies
• Maintain paperwork documentation
• Working conditions can vary throughout the day; it can be cold, cool, warm, hot, wet, dry and/or dusty at times
• Ability to read, write and communicate with co-workers and managers
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge And Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience on John Deere equipment or the equivalent with another golf/turf manufacturer required.
• Basic set of tools
• You must be in good physical condition; you will be required to continuously lift up to 50 pounds routinely during the course of your shift, this position will require heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, twisting and pulling on a daily basis
• Current driver's license and reliable means of transportation and must be insurable.

Position is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen

Compensation

• Hourly position, Full-time
• Compensation: $33 - $38 DOE
