UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Jockey Truck Driver to organize trailers on-site using the Yard Jockey truck. You may operate a forklift to assist with loads and production, and you will perform daily equipment inspections.

The role requires safe driving within the facility, securing loads, maintaining shipping documents, and coordinating with base or supervisor by radio. Candidates must have at least 6 months of commercial driving experience, a CDL, and the ability to pass a yard test.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 12th-grade basic education completed.
• At least 6 months of experience driving a commercial vehicle or yard jockey truck.
• Working knowledge of vehicle parts and minor repairs.
• Forklift driver licensing within 4 months of hire.
• CDL license required and must pass yard test/skills evaluation.

Responsabilités

• Safely drives in the facility staging shipping loads in various weather conditions.
• Completes daily equipment inspection sheets.
• Loads and unloads trucks as needed to assist with production.
• Inspects equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Secures load and/or inspects load to ensure proper securing.
• Maintains shipping documents and radio contact with base or supervisor.
• Verifies shipping documents for accuracy.
• May operate a forklift to load/unload trailers as required.
• Follows forklift rules and company policies.
• Completes training and participates in safety programs.

Job SummaryThe Jockey Truck Driver is responsible for the organization of trailers on-site using the Yard Jockey truck.
