Job summary

Mountaire Farms in North Carolina is seeking a reliable Jockey driver to load and unload shipments, back trailers into tight spaces, and support dock operations. You will help fill 11 dock doors and perform related tasks as directed.

The role requires a High School diploma, at least 6 months of Jockey driving experience, the ability to obtain Jockey Driver Certification, and the stamina to work in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of Jockey driving experience.
• Must be able to obtain Jockey Driver Certification.
• Must be able to back trailers up in the dark and into tight spaces.
• Must be able to lift between 40 - 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Structurally and safely operate Jockey truck at determined speeds to maintain plant operations.
• Transport chickens from the holding sheds to the receiving area.
• Provide special awareness to protect product, shipping docks, and all personnel involved.
• Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Follow all company safety policies, S.O.P regulations, as well as support Goal Zero mission statement.
