Job summary

Case Farms in Dudley, NC is seeking a dedicated truck driver with a valid Class A CDL to join our logistics team. This role focuses on transporting live poultry, performing pre-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation.

You will comply with DOT regulations, work nights and weekends, and report maintenance issues promptly. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and the ability to read, write, and operate independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1-year verifiable driving record preferred.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation laws (DOT, state & federal).
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Previous live poultry tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Follow DOT safety policies and company programs.
• Wear assigned PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.).
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight, etc.).
• Clean and wash the truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules, company policies, and local, state, and federal laws.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic math functions and skills.
• Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
