TRAVELING JOBSITE SUPERINTENDENT

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overall day to day management of the jobsite including setup of the jobsite with assistance from the Project Manager and Office Administrator.
  2. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, inspectors, and permitting offices.
  3. Prepare daily reports and conduct daily safety walks of the jobsite, addressing any concerns immediately.
  4. Ensure all personnel are wearing proper safety equipment and that anyone using DI rented equipment is properly certified.
  5. Maintain a clean job site and assist the Project Manager in preparing weekly reports to the client.
  6. Be the expert regarding plans and specifications for your project.
  7. Assist the Project Manager in preparing RFI’s and reviewing submittals.
  8. Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain the project schedule.
  9. Meet with subcontractors to review their scope of work and the project schedule.
  10. Ensure subcontractors’ work is completed per plans, specifications, and submittals.
  11. Maintain accurate as-built drawings throughout the project.
  12. Conduct daily and weekly meetings at the jobsite with subcontractors.
  13. Perform a two-week look ahead every week and ensure that subcontractors will be onsite per schedule.
  14. Work with the Office Administrator to ensure all proper paperwork is in place prior to subcontractor arriving onsite.
  15. Work with Jobsite Administrator/Asst. Superintendent to ensure deliveries are checked for accuracy and damages.
  16. Work with the Office Administrator and Project Manager to review invoices for accuracy.
  17. Assist the Project Manager with the review of subcontractors pay applications for accuracy if requested.
  18. Prepare and complete Punch List items.
  19. Assist the Office Administrator in preparing closeout documents for the owner.
  20. Assist the Jobsite Administrator in the return/pickup of all rented items near completion of the project.

  4. Highly organized and able to multi-task and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  5. Proficient in MS Word; MS Project is a plus.
