Job summary

JENNMAR Services is hiring a Warehouse Associate at West Elk Mine in Somerset, CO. The role involves receiving, stocking, and inventorying parts and explosives, operating forklifts, and using ELLIPSE/ORACLE for SOX-compliant records.

You will participate in trained MSHA programs, perform counts, and coordinate with multiple departments while maintaining safety and accuracy. This is a full-time position with daily daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
• Must pass ATF background check as required for the position.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license without restrictions.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift and front-end loader for extended periods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with inventory management systems such as ELLIPSE or ORACLE is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Overlap with mining equipment knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, organize, and inventory incoming parts, materials, and supplies accurately.
• Safely operate forklifts and front-end loaders for extended periods.
• Process incoming receipts, purchase orders, and packing slips; verify shipments for accuracy.
• Research, resolve, and reconcile receiving discrepancies.
• Inventory, issue, and receive explosives in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Utilize inventory systems, including ELLIPSE and ORACLE, to maintain records and SOX compliance.
• Perform continuous inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily warehouse functions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Job Description

JENNMAR Services is currently hiring a Warehouse Associate to join our team at West Elk Coal Mine in Somerset, Colorado. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning about the mining industry and developing warehouse and inventory management skills.

The Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of warehouse duties to support the safe and efficient operation of West Elk Mine. This position requires MSHA certification. JENNMAR Services provides the required training at no cost to the employee upon acceptance of a signed job offer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of workplace safety and follow all company and mine policies and procedures.
• Receive, stock, organize, and inventory incoming parts, materials, and supplies accurately.
• Safely operate motorized equipment, including forklifts and front-end loaders, for extended periods.
• Process incoming receipts, purchase orders, and packing slips; verify shipments for accuracy.
• Research, resolve, and reconcile receiving discrepancies.
• Inventory, issue, and receive explosives in accordance with applicable safety procedures and regulations.
• Utilize inventory management systems, including ELLIPSE and/or ORACLE, to maintain accurate inventory records and support SOX compliance.
• Perform continuous inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory documentation.
• Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily warehouse and inventory functions.

Requirements & Preferred Experience

• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
• Must pass the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background check, as required for the position.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license without restrictions.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift and front-end loader for extended periods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with inventory management systems, such as ELLIPSE or ORACLE, preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• General knowledge of mining equipment, parts, and supplies preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to perform continuous inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Willingness to complete required MSHA training and certification.

Compensation & Work Schedule

• Pay Rate:$25.00 per hour
