Job summary

Jennmar Services – West Elk Mine in Somerset, Colorado, seeks experienced Underground Miner/Laborers to join the team. Qualified candidates have prior underground mining experience and a solid understanding of underground mine safety and operations.

This role supports daily underground mining activities, assists mining crews, handles materials and equipment, and maintains a safe, productive work environment. OT may be required; safety and compliance with MSHA regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous underground mining experience required.
• Experience working in an underground coal mine preferred.
• Current MSHA training or the ability to complete required training.
• Strong knowledge of underground mine safety practices.
• Must meet all site access, pre-employment screening, and mine safety requirements.
• Full-time position with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties in an underground coal mine.
• Assist underground mining crews with daily operations.
• Move materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all mine safety procedures, company policies, and MSHA regulations.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and equipment concerns.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned.

This position supports daily underground mining activities, assists mining crews, handles materials and equipment, and maintains a safe and productive work environment. We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious individuals who can work effectively as part of a team and contribute their underground mining experience to daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties in an underground coal mine.
