Job summary

Pony Bird Employment Services in Jefferson County, Missouri, is seeking a part-time Job Support Professional to work with individuals with disabilities in their community placements.

You will provide on-site coaching, train participants, communicate with employers, and help individuals gain independence, with paid training, starting wages of $18.50 per hour and scheduling under 30 hours weekly, flexible around staff availability.

• Reliable to work with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Direct job coaching on site at individuals placed at jobs in the community.
• Train and support individuals to become independent on their jobs.

• Provide daily progress notes.
• Occasional transportation to individuals served using agency vehicles or personal vehicle.

Pony Bird Employment Services is seeking to hire a Job Support Professional, part-time. We are a Not-For-Profit agency in Jefferson County that provides employment supports to individuals with disabilities. The Job Support Professionals provides supports to individuals with disabilities at their places of employment in the Jefferson County area. The Job Support Professional will assist in training, communicate with employers, and reinforce supports for individual to become independent at their job.

Schedule: Under 30 hours per week. Schedule will change weekly. Varies based on participants' work schedules and staff's stated weekly availability (employer will be flexible for scheduling around staff's availability).

Responsibilities and Duties:

• direct job coaching on site of individuals placed at jobs in the community
• job coaching will assist to train and support individual to become independent on their job
• communication with employers
• work independently and as part of a team
• provide daily progress note documentation
• on limited occasions provide transportation to individuals served using agency vehicles and/or personal vehicle

Qualifications and Skills:

• minimum of high school diploma/GED
• valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• reliable to work independently without direct supervision
• ability to communicate in an effective and clear manner, both oral and written form
• ability to primarily stand and walk for shifts
• basic computer and typing skills
• the ability to be flexible for scheduling and changes in schedule
• pre-employment and random drug screening
