Pony Bird Inc. in Hillsboro, Missouri, seeks Direct Support Professionals to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with evening and weekend differentials of $2.00 per hour. Paid training and excellent benefits are offered.

Schedule: Evening shifts 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., with every-other-weekend work required; location: Hillsboro. This role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and documentation of care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and solve problems.
• CPR and crisis intervention training required or paid training provided.
• Light computer skills including data entry and word processing.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Support individuals to reach their full life potential
• Maintain quality of life with dignity and respect
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) and provide total care supports
• Encourage independence to the individual's capacity
• Serve as a positive role model to promote appropriate adult behavior
• Provide accurate documentation
• Adhere and implement Individual Support Plans
• Assure a safe, clean home environment upholding accreditation standards and regulations
• Team-player who can also work independently
• Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position

Schedule and Work Location:

• Evening Shift 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. *Required to work every other weekend
• Hillsboro

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED

• Ability to evacuate individuals served in the event of a fire, natural disaster, or another emergency
• Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention techniques, paid training provided.
• Light computer skills to include data entry and word processing
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to be flexible to provide the needs of the individuals served
