Qualifications

• Three years' experience as a job superintendent or PM on construction projects.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with BuildersTrend, Procore, etc.
• Degree in construction management preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of workers and subcontractors, including schedules and resource allocation.
• Adhere to cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
• Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other management to determine budget and timeline.
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
• Create a safe work environment and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
• Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
• Maintain a daily log for site operations and report to management.
• Make changes to operations to meet construction deadlines.
• Apply cost-effective and efficient management techniques.

Job description

Yuma Valley Contractors is looking for an experienced job superintendent to manage multiple construction jobs in the Lower Colorado River region of Arizona and California. These jobs will primarily be in Yuma County, AZ.

Duties

• Manage a team of workers and subcontractors, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
• Adhere to cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
• Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
• Create a safe work environment and follow all applicable laws and regulations.
• Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
• Hire addition subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
• Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary.
• Make changes in the operation as needed to best meet construction deadlines.
• Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient and other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Three years' experience as a job superintendent or project manager on construction projects.
• Computer skills - proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Past experience with job software such as BuildersTrend, Procore, etc.

Education

• Prefer a degree in construction management but equivalent experience may be substituted.

Vehicle Use

• A pickup truck will be provided for day use to and from job sites.
