KE&G Construction Inc. in Sierra Vista, AZ is seeking a full-time Project Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy-civil projects.

The role requires coordinating multiple crews, managing utilities, earthwork, and paving activities, and working closely with engineers and managers to deliver on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years as a Superintendent in heavy-civil construction, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to drive project costs and schedules while

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy-civil construction.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
• Experience with utilities installation (wet and dry), earthwork, asphalt paving, and coordinating subcontractors.
• Cost control, reviewing project costs daily/weekly.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Manager to complete projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations on construction sites and ensure work is completed to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment; enforce safety procedures and drug screenings as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Positive attitude and desire to excel while working with fellow employee-owners.
• 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the heavy-civil construction industry.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple crews while successfully building multiple types of projects.
• Experience with installation of utilities (wet and dry), earthwork, asphalt paving, and coordinating and scheduling subcontractors.
• Cost control, reviewing daily and weekly project costs.
• Collaborating with Project Engineers and Project Manager while successfully completing projects.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Must pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug screenings.

PERSONAL SKILLS

• Must be able to effectively communicate.
• Will be required to work in a team environment with fellow employee-owners.
• Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate with verbally others on site, in person and over the telephone, ability to read printed materials, signs and directions, stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner.
• Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment and other tools within local, state and federal safety guidelines.
• This position operates in a professional field environment. The position requires working outside, frequently for long periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
