Job summary

Capital Search Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fast-growing software client in Falls Church, VA. The role reports to an Assistant Controller and covers GL accounting, financial reporting, and ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, billing, and US GAAP policy compliance, with potential for bonus and equity. Public accounting/CPA preferred but not required; strong mentor guidance available.

Qualifications

• GL accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close duties.
• US GAAP/compliance with accounting policies.
• Ad-hoc FP&A including budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assistance with financial statements and business reporting.
• Support due diligence on acquisition targets.
• Lead ad-hoc FP&A tasks including budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage month-end close and related close processes.
• Oversee billing and ensure policy compliance.

Job description

Our growing client, a software start up, located in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Senior Accountant. This will report into an Assistant Controller (great mentor, ex public accounting/CPA) and will be responsible for GL accounting, financial reporting, and ad-hoc projects. Duties include journal entries and reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, business reporting, due diligence on acquisition targets, ad-hoc FP&A (budgeting, forecasting, etc.), month end close management, billing, and USGAAP / accounting policy compliance.

This is a fast growing company, with opportunity to grow with the firm.

Public accounting and CPA is preferred but not required.

Compensation targeted at $90-$120K + bonus + equity
