You'll facilitate coordination meetings, oversee project performance, and work closely with transportation agencies and clients to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain strong partnerships.

You'll also support business growth by contributing to project pursuits, proposal development, and strategic planning efforts. As projects advance into construction, you'll help ensure design intent, constructability, and contract requirements are effectively executed while mentoring team members and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.

  • Direct design integration efforts to ensure constructability, efficiency, and alignment with project objectives.

  • Partner with construction leadership to identify innovative solutions that reduce cost, accelerate schedules, and improve project delivery.

  • Facilitate coordination meetings and provide leadership throughout project execution.

  • Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary to achieve project goals.

  • Lead project pursuit activities, including proposal development, technical approaches, staffing plans, and interview presentations.

  • Review contracts and manage contractual compliance, change orders, and claims avoidance strategies.

  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards, transportation agency requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Support mentoring, coaching, and professional development of project managers, design managers, and technical staff.

  • Collaborate with business development leaders to identify and capture new transportation design-build opportunities.

  • Promote a strong culture of safety, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across project teams.

  • Provide executive-level reporting on project status, financial performance, risks, and key milestones.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects, including significant design-build experience.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Proven experience managing large-scale highway, roadway, bridge, transit, or transportation infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of design-build project delivery methods, contract requirements, and transportation agency processes.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project execution.

  • Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality management practices.

  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and working directly with DOTs, municipalities and public-sector agencies.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to balance technical, operational, and financial aspects of complex projects.

  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software platforms.

  • Ability to travel as required to client sites, project locations, and business meetings.
