Job summary

Hospice of the West is actively seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Central Phoenix and surrounding areas. The role involves identifying patient and family needs, coordinating care, and delivering compassionate support during critical moments.

The schedule runs Friday 4 pm to Monday 8 am, with a mission-driven environment and comprehensive benefits, including health/dental/vision insurance and tuition reimbursement. Prior hospice exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hold current unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum one year RN experience in medical-surgical/acute care; hospice experience a plus.
• Must be computer proficient, including EMR background.
• CPR certification if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Be the Lifeline: Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine, with compassionate support.
• Provide empathetic assessments of patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the home setting and agency/regulatory standards.
• Provide support for families by sharing knowledge and guiding care for terminally ill loved ones.

Overview

Hospice of the West is currently seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to hospice patients and their families during their most critical moments. As an On-Call RN, you will play a vital role in identifying patient and family needs, coordinating care, and offering preventative measures and compassionate support.

Schedule: Friday, 4 pm - Monday, 8 am

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hold current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN in a medical surgical/acute care setting. Hospice exp a Plus!
• Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EMR.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.

$80,000 - $93,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
