Job summary

Hospice of the West is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate hospice care to patients and families in the Central Phoenix area. You will identify patient and family needs, coordinate care, and offer preventative measures and compassionate support during critical moments.

Schedule: Friday, 4 pm - Monday, 8 am. Qualifications: BSN preferred, active RN license, 1 year medical-surgical/acute care experience (hospice a plus), EMR proficiency, CPR if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN preferred).
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in medical-surgical/acute care; hospice experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient needs in urgent to routine scenarios.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation per agency and regulatory standards.
• Support families with guidance and reassurance during end-of-life care.

As an On-Call RN, you will play a vital role in identifying patient and family needs, coordinating care, and offering preventative measures and compassionate support.

Schedule: Friday, 4 pm - Monday, 8 am

Territory: Central Phoenix and Surrounding Areas

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.


• Hold current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).


• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN in a medical surgical/acute care setting. Hospice exp a Plus!


• Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EMR.


• Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.

$80,000 - $93,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
