Job summary

Atchley Air is seeking a skilled Drain Technician to identify and fix drainage issues, including clogs, root intrusion, and sewer line problems. You will use video inspection and hydro-jetting, educate customers on best practices, and promote maintenance packages while upholding safety and quality standards. We offer commission pay based on experience, with hours from 7:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m. and a schedule of Thursday through Monday.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of plumbing or drain experience.
  • Drain endorsement required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with diagnosis and repair of residential plumbing issues.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve drainage issues, including clogs, slow-moving water, sewer line backups, and root intrusion.
  • Utilize video inspection and hydro-jetting to provide efficient, accurate solutions.
  • Recommend and sell additional services to improve system performance (drain cleaning, preventive maintenance, sewer camera inspections, drain replacement).
  • Speak professionally with customers, team members, and vendors.
  • Manage stress and difficult customer situations.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Operate company vehicles and follow all laws; maintain vehicle cleanliness and routine maintenance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot drain problems and perform drain cleaning, unclogging, and repair.
  • Install, repair, and maintain drainpipes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed service records with before/after photos.
  • Educate customers on best practices for their drain systems.

What You Will Do:

  • Operating company vehicles and will be expected to follow all state and federal laws, as well as, maintaining the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot drain problems, including blockages, leaks, and pipe damage.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform drain cleaning, unclogging, and repair.
  • Install, repair, and maintain drainpipes, fitting, and fixtures
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of services, including documenting pictures of before and after services have been completed.
  • Educate customers on best practices for their drain systems.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Attend appropriate safety training as required by the company.

What You Need:

  • 1+ Years of Plumbing or Drain experience
  • Drain Endorsement (required)

The employee isfrequentlyexposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation & Hours

  • Commission Pay based on experience
  • Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible start and end times depending on business needs)
  • Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
