Job summary

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) in Illinois to provide hands-on, compassionate care, meeting patients’ physical, emotional, and personal needs with dignity and respect. You will work closely with the nursing team to follow care plans and support patients and their families.

The role emphasizes professional conduct, timely responses to requests, and maintaining accurate records while delivering comfort at the end of life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current unencumbered CNA certificate in the state.
• Minimum of 1 year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care following the plan of care and attend promptly to patient and family requests.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, oral hygiene, bedding, clothing, shampooing) to support comfort and dignity.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and guidance during end‑of‑life caregiving.
• Maintain accurate documentation per agency and regulatory standards.

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands‑on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Schedule: 7 am - 3:30 pm

Coverage Area: Northern Cook and Lake County. Cities Included but Not Limited to Glendale Heights, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Arlington Heights and Barrington

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well‑being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.


• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.


• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!


• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state‑mandated


• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$22.00 - $23.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
