Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Senior Quality Specialist in Virginia Beach to conduct quality inspections and witness tests, ensuring adherence to contract specifications. You will collaborate with project teams and regulatory bodies to uphold standards.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, supporting testing protocols, and monitoring environmental performance. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to mentor others and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma may be preferred.
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • ACI certification or Canadian equivalent required.
  • Environmental regulatory and construction compliance experience preferred.
  • Proven SME in testing and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies risks and discrepancies during daily site walks and documents findings.
  • Assists with protocols, qualifications, and validation documentation.
  • Performs system verifications to ensure installation per design specs.
  • Documents and reports environmental performance to clients and regulators.
  • Supports environmental risk assessments and cost reduction under supervision.

Overview

Are you passionate about ensuring excellence and compliance in every detail? As a Senior Quality Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards by conducting thorough quality inspections and witness tests. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to uphold contract specifications and make a tangible impact on our projects.

What you will be doing
  • Identifies risks and discrepancies at the project site during daily site walks, documenting findings, evaluations, and inspections using Company-prescribed procedures and software.
  • Assists with protocols, qualifications, and prescribed validation procedures and documentation.
  • Performs system verifications on completed systems to ensure correct installation per contract design specifications.
  • Documents, analyzes, and reports environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Supports impact assessments to identify, assess, and reduce the organization’s environmental risks and financial costs, following the direction of the environmental team and procedures.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma preferred.
  • 3+ year related experience preferred.
  • ACI or Canadian equivalent certification required.
  • Experience or training in environmental regulatory and construction industry compliance preferred.
  • Proven subject matter expert in testing, inspection processes and construction procedures.
  • Leadership and mentoring ability and ownership.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow in environmental monitoring, technical writing and documentation.
