Job summary

Community Resources For Justice, Inc. in Pawtucket, RI seeks an Employment Placement Specialist to help residents obtain employment and guide job search activities. The role reports to the Program Director and is full-time, 40 hours weekly.

You will assist with resumes, interview skills, and readiness, build relationships with employers, verify offers, and monitor retention. Some travel is required, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in guidance, counseling or job placement.
• Work experience can substitute for degree in the field of guidance, counseling, or career development.

Responsibilities

• Meets with new residents to assess interests, skills, employment, and educational background.
• Routinely monitors residents' job search progress and offers support.
• Assists with resume writing, interviewing skills, dress, and job readiness.
• Maintains a shared Resource Directory of employment resources and leads.
• Develops relationships with employers, job fairs, and local resources.
• Verifies all employment offers and maintains contact with employers after placement.
• Collects subsistence requirements and distributes related documentation.
• Attends meetings, conferences, training within CRJ and with partners.
