Job summary

FlyingHIGH, Inc. is seeking a full-time Integrated Workforce Job Development Specialist to support job searching and placement activities for consumers in the community.

You will assess, coach, and place job seekers with external employers, coordinating with case managers to design individualized career plans. The role includes developing relationships with local employers, hosting spotlight events, and ensuring qualified candidates meet job specifications while maintaining strong employer

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or demonstrated work experience in Workforce Development.
• Valid Ohio Driver's license is required.
• Clean driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Post employment civilian background check and substance abuse testing are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide job development opportunities for consumers by developing relationships with employers within the community and actively engaging employer contacts in order to provide skilled and qualified employees.
• Provide job development, job seeking skills training, coaching and job placement to consumers in order to prepare qualified candidates.
• Develop and communicate employer pathways to share with case management team in order to provide prepared and qualified candidates.
• Design and implement a career plan that will lead to successful placement with employers in collaboration with the team.
• Collaborate with community employers to host spotlight events to assist in the recruitment of qualified candidates for their open positions.
• In collaboration with employers, provide qualified candidates in accordance with employers job specifications; maintain communication with employers and candidates to provide support and ensure employer satisfaction.

Education

Associates Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Business or related field

The Job Development Specialist will support the employer and consumer needs in job searching and placement activities. In collaboration with client case managers or job seekers, will complete career assessments and assist job seeker in obtaining meaningful employment with external employers.
