Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Job Coach to directly support clients with barriers to independence by teaching work habits and attitudes. You will train, supervise, and model procedures while helping participants set goals and complete tasks in community jobs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of related experience (customer service, custodial, sales, clerical, training, etc.) required.
• AA degree can substitute for required experience.
• Supervisory/training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients in the program.
• Train, supervise, and model work procedures for participants.
• Help participants develop goals and implement tasks in community jobs.
• Adapt training strategies to fit changing environments and needs.
• Occasionally provide transportation to participants between sites.

Job Coaches adapt training strategies to fit the changing work environment and participant needs day-to-day.
