Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a part-time Job Coach in Muscatine, IA to support participants with barriers to independence. You will train, supervise, and model work procedures while helping clients develop goals and tasks for community placements.

The role involves adapting coaching strategies to individual needs and may include transporting participants to job sites. A reliable vehicle and valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a related field.
• Supervisory or training experience preferred.
• AA degree can substitute for required experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to program participants in community jobs.
• Train, supervise, and model work procedures for participants.
• Adapt training strategies to fit changing participant needs.
• May provide transportation to program participants to job sites.

Job Coaches adapt training strategies to fit the changing work environment and participant needs day-to-day. Some daytime hours are possible, depending on availability. Travel between job sites is required.The Job Coach position has a starting wage of $16.78 per hour.
