Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Job Coach to directly support participants, train and supervise, and model work procedures in community jobs.

You will help participants develop goals, adapt training strategies as needs change, and may transport them to sites. Flexibility includes evenings and weekends to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of related field experience required (AA degree can substitute).
• Reliable vehicle with valid driver's license; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise and model work procedures for participants.
• Place participants in community jobs and help develop goals.
• Adapt training strategies to changing needs and may transport participants.
• Travel between job sites as needed.

Participants are placed in community jobs through Goodwill programs, and this position aids in teaching basic work habits and attitudes, while helping our participants develop their goals and implement assigned tasks. Job Coaches adapt training strategies to fit the changing work environment and participant needs day-to-day.
