Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Job Coach to support participants with barriers to independence, training, supervising, and modeling work procedures. You will help place participants in community jobs, adapt training, and assist in goal development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of experience in a related field is required (e.g., customer service, custodial, sales, clerical, training, etc.). An AA degree can be substituted for the required experience.
• Supervisory/training experience preferred.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and auto insurance is required.
• Background checks: criminal, motor vehicle record, and dependent adult and child abuse will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for clients in the program.
• Train, supervise, and model work procedures for participants.
• Assist in placing participants in community jobs and help develop their goals.
• Adapt training strategies to fit changing needs day-to-day.
• Travel between job sites as required.
