Job summary

Colonial Group in Miramar, CA is hiring a Landscaping Crew Lead to guide participants in group supported employment, oversee landscape tasks, and ensure quality outcomes. You will provide on‑the‑job training, supervise day‑to‑day grounds maintenance, and record progress while coordinating with the supervisor and employer.

Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm, with pay at $21.52 per hour. The ideal candidate has landscaping experience, can lift up to 75 lbs, holds a valid CA driver’s license, and enjoys

• Experience in landscaping services, including use of heavy machinery.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
• Valid CA Driver's License with clean driving record; able and willing to transport participants.

Responsibilities

• Providing direction and completing landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging and minor irrigation.
• Ensuring completion of work tasks as required by the employer and/or established procedures.
• Providing on-going training to participants throughout the workday as needed.
• Collecting and recording data on participant's goals as required.
• Communicating effectively and professionally with employer and other employees at the work site.
• Emulating exemplary work behaviors at all times.

We are currently hiring a Landscaping Crew Lead to join our team. The Crew Leader, provides support and training to participants working in group supported employment. The role completes landscape tasks as part of a daily work load, and ensures quality and quantity of all work completed meet employer expectations. The role utilizes standard training techniques to teach participants to perform grounds maintenance tasks according to guidelines established by the Supervisor and employer. In addition, the Crew Leader provides training and support to participants to improve social, personal, and other work-related skills.

Location: Miramar

Pay: The pay for this position is $21.52 to $21.52.

Schedule: Mon- Fri 7a-3p
