Job summary

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department seeks a qualified professional to provide job development, placement and supported employment services for IPS referrals and to guide consumers toward successful vocational outcomes.

You will train on-site, maintain weekly notes, and adapt to diverse work environments, with travel between sites and a flexible schedule to meet consumer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; substitution allowed with experience.
• Must communicate effectively.
• Must be able to travel throughout the day to assist consumers at work.
• Flex schedule to meet consumers' needs.
• Knowledge of needs assessments, interview techniques, and community resources.
• Knowledge of behavior adjustment techniques.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Must be able to work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide job development, placement and supported employment services for IPS referrals.
• Provide planning and guidance towards vocational outcomes.
• Provide job skills training on the work site to supported employment consumer.
• Maintain weekly case notes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
