Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Job Coach for the CARES School in Downingtown, PA. You will work with adolescents and young adults with autism to transition from school programming to community and post-education life, focusing on vocational skills.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm, year-round in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and two years of relevant experience are desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Two years experience working with adolescents and young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders in a transition and employment setting preferred.

Every day as a Job Coach you will:

• Directly supervise, train, and coach students within community-based employment training sites.

Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. CARES provides an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs. Programming is focused on increasing independence for each student.
