Job Coach
20–30 hours per week | Hourly Position
What You'll Do
- Meet with clients regularly in the office, in the community, or via tele-coaching.
- Empower clients to meet goals by assisting them in defining clear and manageable goals, objectives and action steps.
- Assist clients in developing systems for staying accountable to the goals they establish.
- Assist clients to build skills for self-advocacy.
- Interact with parents and employers as necessary to summarize progress and clarify support needs in the work environment.
- Help clients to create resumes and cover letters, apply to jobs, and prepare for interviews.
- As needed, support clients through modeling and observation on the job as they engage in time-limited work trials/internships, communicate with coworkers, and meet other demands of their jobs.
- Maintain confidential and detailed notes following each interaction with students, professors, and other members of the support team.
- Maintain an active client caseload with 60% of time spent with - or in direct service of - your clients.
- Travel to various locations throughout the day or week to support clients’ needs.
- Network with employers in support of your clients.
What You'll Need
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and efficiently with clients and others on the support team, both during and outside of sessions.

- Bachelor’s Degree in a helping professional field preferred but not required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical or educational work experience involving individual support of neurodiverse young adults preferred
Compensation
This is an hourly, part-time position (20–30 hours per week) with compensation based on the work performed:
- Direct client coaching: $25/hour
- Administrative, planning, meeting, documentation, and travel time: $17/hour
Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved travel between client locations.
The position is designed so that approximately 65% of scheduled time is spent providing direct client services, with the remaining time dedicated to documentation, communication, collaboration, planning, and other activities that support client success.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
- Travel at least 20% to sites beyond the company office
- Perform light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- Operate standard office/computer equipment
- Work onsite (in our office and in the community)
