Job summary

Sevita’s NeuroRestorative program in Novi, MI seeks a dedicated Job Coach for a full-time role. Earn $16–$17 per hour while helping individuals learn to live and work independently in a supportive, team-based environment.

The ideal candidate has a creative interest or background, with coaching skills and a focus on skill development, employment matching, and professional grooming to enable client success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with vehicle access and insurance.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Reliable, responsible and caring with commitment to mission.

Responsibilities

• Engage individuals by coaching, feedback and skill development demonstrations.
• Assist in matching individuals to employment or vocational opportunities.
• Meet with employers to develop potential work opportunities.
• Ensure individuals are groomed and attired appropriately for work.
• Provide feedback on service plan goals and development of skills.
• Deliver work adjustment training to improve work skills and behaviors.
• Promote communication with community contacts and agencies.

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. Range: $16 - $17 per hour

The ideal candidate has a creative background, specialized artistic skills, or a strong interest in creative expression. Experience in areas such as visual arts, drawing, painting, photography, illustration, or other creative disciplines is highly valued, as creativity is an important part of participant engagement and vocational development.

• Engage individuals receiving support by providing coaching, feedback, and demonstration of skill development tasks.
• Participate in the process of matching individuals to employment or vocational opportunities.
• Meet with employers to develop potential work opportunities.
• Ensure individuals we support are appropriately groomed and attired for employment or task assignment.
• Provide constructive feedback to individuals regarding service plan goals, community employer expectations, and development of skills to obtain and maintain competitive employment.
• Deliver work adjustment training to assist employed individuals to improve work skills, work behaviors, interpersonal skills, and ethics, to maintain employment.
• Promote communication with community contacts, community work site co-workers, local agencies, and state offices.
