Job summary

KARDENT Architecture, a Long Beach, CA firm, is seeking a Job Captain to lead architectural projects on-site. You will meet with clients, develop design solutions, and coordinate with consultants and contractors to deliver documentation.

The role emphasizes collaboration and project leadership. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture and 10+ years of experience in commercial/healthcare office environments, plus proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in commercial office / medical / healthcare office improvements.
• Knowledge of Building & Fire codes and Accessibility.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.
• Surveying existing buildings and tenant spaces.
• Experience in developing Construction Documents and Details.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• City Plan Check processing experience, DSA submittal experience a plus!

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and execute design solutions for projects.
• Prepare project documentation and coordinates with consultants and contractors.
• Collaborate with internal design team and develop design details.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Lead design reviews and ensure code compliance across projects.
