Job summary

Architecture Firm NYC is seeking a Job Captain to join its team in New York City. The role emphasizes technical problem-solving, well-coordinated drawings, and taking ownership of projects from design through construction.

You will work closely with project managers and the design team to move projects forward, develop construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and support construction administration across multiple assignments.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture.
• 5+ years of professional architectural experience.
• Experience developing construction documents and resolving technical details.
• Retail, restaurant, or commercial project experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and consultant coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Develop space plans, construction drawings, and architectural details.
• Coordinate architectural documents with structural, MEP, and civil consultants.
• Prepare accurate, coordinated drawing packages for permitting, bidding, and construction.
