Job summary

SNIPEBRIDGE is seeking a Job Captain for an award-winning architecture firm in Carbondale, Colorado. You will develop design development drawings, construction documents, and details, coordinating across project teams while growing into leadership responsibilities.

You will manage small projects from concept through CA, serve as a primary client contact on select work, and contribute to both design and production efforts with senior leadership oversight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of architectural experience.
• 3-10 years detailing and design development work.
• Professional degree in architecture or design preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and rendering/presentation software.
• Working knowledge of local city and county codes and agencies, plus uniform building codes.
• Experience coordinating design efforts and working independently on architectural projects.
• Clear communication of design ideas, in drawings and in conversation.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and technical solutions for a range of project types and scales.
• Prepare design development drawings and construction documents, including detailing and planning support.
• Develop design solutions for small projects through SD, DD, and CD.
• Help manage small projects across budget, billing, schedule, consultant coordination, design, CDs, and construction administration, with senior oversight.
• Serve as primary client contact on select small projects.
• Research products, systems, and installations to support design development.
• Present design ideas and solution options to project teams and clients.
• Participate in design charrettes and incorporate input from colleagues.
• Prepare print and digital presentation materials, award submittals, and marketing content.
• Flag critical issues early, including schedule, budget, client, ethical, or policy concerns.

POSITION SUMMARY
