Job Captain (Boston or Hartford)

Amenta Emma is seeking a Job Captain to join our Boston office. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and verbal presentation skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

Roles + Responsibilities:

• Participate in full design process conceptual design through construction administration as a member of a collaborative team
• Produce, manage, and coordinate document sets
• Review drawings to ensure compliance with firm standards, codes and ADA requirements
• Coordinate with senior technical and design staff
• Communicate with consultants to ensure coordination of project documents
• Participate in construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFIs, site inspections and reports

Experience + Qualifications:

• A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
• Progress towards pursuit of architectural licensure
• 5-10 years of professional experience
• Demonstrated ability to provide complete sets of drawings
• Proficient knowledge of building and accessibility codes
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office
