Job summary

CI&T is seeking a QA Automation Senior to join our team in Brazil. You will enhance software quality through automated testing across web, mobile, and desktop platforms, collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications.

You will implement best practices in testing, design robust test plans, and drive quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle. Fluent English and strong collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Selenium/JMeter/Postman/Cypress for automation.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile.
• Experience with test case management (TestRail, Jira).
• Scripting in Python/Java/JavaScript for automation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and desktop apps.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, JUnit/TestNG, Playwright, Pytest, or similar.
• Identify, document, and track defects in a bug-tracking system.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Implement best practices in testing and quality assurance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Position Overview

As a QA Automation Senior, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our software products. Your expertise in automated testing will drive the creation of robust solutions while collaborating with talented cross-functional teams. Your work will ensure that we consistently deliver high-quality applications that meet and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Playwright, Pytest, or similar.
• Identify, document, and track defects in a bug-tracking system.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Implement best practices in testing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in testing tools like Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Cypress, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail, Jira, or similar.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent English is mandatory.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms.
• Exposure to API testing and security testing.
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
