CI&T is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build a scalable cloud-based solution using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, optimize performance, and drive architectural decisions across microservices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building large, distributed systems.
• 8+ years in software development with last 4+ years in Java server-side.
• Expert in Core Java 1.8+.
• Proficient with Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful microservices.
• JUnit, Mockito, and AssertJ experience.
• Experience with JMS/ActiveMQ messaging.
• Git proficiency and CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub).
• Relational and NoSQL databases; Spring JDBC/JPA/Hibernate.
• Knowledge of in-memory stores (Memcached or Hazelcast).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; eager to learn.
• Bachelor’s or higher in CS/Software.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will lead the design and development of a scalable cloud-based solution, employing Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with client expectations. Your role will be pivotal in driving collaboration, innovation, and transformation, as we harness the power of AI to revolutionize our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must-have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a developer working on large, distributed systems.
• 8+ years of development experience in any language, with the last 4 years focused on Java for server-side applications.
• Expert in Core Java 1.8 and above.
• Proficient with Spring, Spring Boot, and development of RESTful/JSON web services in a micro-service architecture.
• Demonstrable proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, and Assert-J.
• Strong experience with messaging frameworks such as JMS and ActiveMQ.
• Proficient in Git and familiar with continuous integration systems like Jenkins and GitHub.
• Comfortable working with relational and NoSQL databases, and proficient in database access using Spring JDBC template, JPA, and Hibernate.
• High-level understanding of in-memory distributed data storage systems like memcache and Hazelcast.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong desire to solve complex problems and learn new technologies.
• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure.
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven and using IntelliJ IDE.
• Understanding of profiling tools and ability to evaluate third‑party libraries.
• Experience with international software development considerations (multi‑lingual, multi‑currency).
