Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Nashville, TN is seeking a Barista to provide exceptional guest service and high-quality beverages as part of the Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guest experience, with attention to detail and a strong team approach.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving beverages using an espresso machine, handling cash according to policy, knowing the menu, inputting orders in the POS system, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of barista knowledge.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience in a high volume restaurant is a must.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages (coffee, latte, espresso, teas) using an industrial espresso machine.
• Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property’s cash handling policy.
• Anticipate guest needs and assist with orders to ensure a positive experience.
• Input orders in the POS system and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Know the menu well and respond to guest requests promptly.

The Barista is responsible for honoring each and every guest by providing excellent customer service and a high quality product. The Barista will work closely with the hotel's Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for enhancing the guest’s experience along with having a high attention to detail and a strong team approach.

Qualifications

• Prepare and serve beverages (coffee, latte, espresso, teas) using an industrial espresso machine
• Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property’s cash handling policy
• Have a deep knowledge about the hotel and local area
• Anticipate customer needs when assisting all guests with their orders to ensure a positive experience
• Follow all company policies and procedures in regards to cash handling, food and beverage preparation, safety and daily operation of the restaurant
• Prepare all orders according to company standards while meeting or exceeding speed of service and quality expectations
• Maintain a clean and organized guest environment as well as a clean and organized workspace
• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu
• Take guest beverage and/or food orders and input orders in appropriate POS system
• All other tasks and duties as assigned
• 1-2 years of barista knowledge
• Previous hospitality experience preferred
• Experience in a high volume restaurant is a must
