Job summary

Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City is seeking friendly, service-minded individuals to join our cafe team. You will prepare coffee beverages, smoothies, sandwiches and light fare, while ensuring a welcoming, efficient guest experience in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. A Food Handler permit or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent guest service in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Strong English verbal communication skills.

The Market: Looking for something quick? Swing by our Grab-and-Go Market on the lobby level, stocked with local artisanal goods, a full coffee bar, and specialty food items. This outlet accepts AM, PM and overnight availability.

Baristas will provide service in the Market Coffee Shop located in the lobby of the hotel. This position will be responsible for fulfilling guest orders including preparing a wide range of coffee beverages, smoothies, sandwiches and flatbreads. The barista will provide a welcoming and clean environment for guests while keeping their work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about25 pounds)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Licenses & Certifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain DABS certification
• Must maintain a current Food Handler permit in accordance with local regulations
