Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Barista to join its guest services team. The role focuses on preparing beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and collaborating with the Food & Beverage team to ensure a high-quality experience for guests across Hyatt properties.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of barista knowledge, hospitality experience preferred, and a proven ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prepare and serve beverages (coffee, latte, espresso, teas) using an industrial espresso machine.
• 1-2 years of barista knowledge; previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience in a high volume restaurant is a must.
• Anticipate customer needs and deliver a positive guest experience.
• Follow cash handling, food and beverage preparation, safety and daily operation policies.

Responsibilities

• Take guest beverage and/or food orders and input orders in the POS system.
• Handle cash transactions per policy.
• Maintain clean and organized guest environment and workspace.
• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Maintain knowledge of menu and daily offerings.
• All other tasks and duties as assigned.

The Barista is responsible for honoring each and every guest by providing excellent customer service and a high quality product. The Barista will work closely with the hotel's Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for enhancing the guest’s experience along with having a high attention to detail and a strong team approach.

Qualifications

Prepare and serve beverages (coffee, latte, espresso, teas) using an industrial espresso machine

Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property’s cash handling policy

Have a deep knowledge about the hotel and local area

Anticipate customer needs when assisting all guests with their orders to ensure a positive experience

Follow all company policies and procedures in regards to cash handling, food and beverage preparation, safety and daily operation of the restaurant

Prepare all orders according to company standards while meeting or exceeding speed of service and quality expectations

Maintain a clean and organized guest environment as well as a clean and organized workspace

Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Ensure knowledge of menu

Take guest beverage and/or food orders and input orders in appropriate POS system

All other tasks and duties as assigned

1-2 years of barista knowledge

Previous hospitality experience preferred
