General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Constructive Systems Administrator to support Joint and multinational simulation training in the Pacific.

You will integrate LVC systems, maintain Windows and Linux servers, and ensure secure, interoperable simulations for Army readiness. You’ll work at customer sites in Hawaii with moderate travel, contributing to DoD DIACAP/RMF processes and delivering high-fidelity training events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience; required for the role.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: Integrate LVC systems so commanders and staff can train against realistic scenarios. Improve training realism by reducing simulation disconnects and technical limitations. Configure, document, test, troubleshoot, create, and/ or modify computer documentation related to Linux based simulation systems, to include MS Windows / Windows Servers, VMWare and Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation Server/ Bridges for training exercises. Ensure that Army and Joint simulations can exchange information and operate together. Responsible for applying system updates and quarterly patches/ IAVAs. Analyze, test, and/ or modify configurations and software programs to provide pertinent solutions to system users, based on and related to user or system design specifications. Responsible for planning, development, and execution of simulation training activities to include scheduling, exercise scenarios, user account management, workstation player/ controller training, exercise execution and participation in After Action Reviews. Implement the Department of War (DoW) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP/Risk Management Framework-DIACAP/ RMF), the standard process under which all DoW information Systems achieve and maintain their Authority To Operate (ATO). Become an integral part of a small highly motivated technical competent GDIT team. Provide rapid problem solving during high visibility exercises. Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: AA in a related technical discipline, OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and training Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience; preferred military experience at the tactical to operational level Required Technical Skills: Experience in configuring, maintaining, operating and integrating JLVC federate systems (JDLM, JCATS, JMECS, EXCIS, etc.) Strong understanding of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle Understanding of HLA and RTI Knowledge of DIS protocols Comprehensive knowledge of Mission Command Information Systems: CPCE, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, JCR/JBC-P, DSCG-A, GCCS-A Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration Practical experience managing gateway services, federation interfaces, and simulation connectivity Certification: Comp TIA SEC+ certification required Security Clearance Level: Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI Required Skills and Abilities: Superb presentation and communication skills Strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on simulation requirements and training objectives Knowledgeable in JLVC network administration Must be able to lead a technical team to create a high fidelity, realistic training event in a Simulated and Constructive environment to meet customer requirements for distributed and multinational exercises.

Salary

The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $107,711. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
