Job summary

TEKsystems in Torrance, CA is seeking a temporary JIRA Specialist to optimize a post-migration JIRA setup. This hands-on role reworks backend configurations and coordinates process improvements with IT, Digital Marketing, and vendor partners.

You will refine workflows, issue types, dashboards, and reporting, document changes, and provide lightweight guides to sustain improvements for the team. This contract onsite position pays $61.22–$64.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on JIRA administration/configuration - reworking workflows, permissions, boards, dashboards, and reporting in established environments.
• Strong grasp of Agile/sprint delivery and translating team processes into clean backend workflow design.
• Proven ability to coordinate process alignment across internal teams, IT, and external vendors in a governed enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve our post-migration JIRA configuration from the backend, refining workflows, statuses, and environment tagging.
• Standardize conventions for issue types, priority vs. severity, and sprint accountability in the tool.
• Coordinate process optimizations with Digital Marketing, IT, and vendor partners to align workflows and standards.
• Improve dashboards, boards, filters, and reporting for clearer visibility into progress and health.
• Document refined workflows and provide lightweight guides to sustain improvements after engagement.
